Match Calendar 2026-27

 

We run an individual aggregate contest based on accumulated points over 8 matches. We also run a pairs aggregate contest based on the combined total weight of each pair over 7 matches. An optional knock-out contest runs from September to March. All matches, which are shown below in bold, qualify for points and trophies.

 

Trophies are awarded to the winners of all these contests alongside the winners of individual matches together with the heaviest fish of the season and the heaviest roach of the season.

 

Members who want to take part in any matches must notify the secretary or chairman at least 24 hours before the event. This is so we know in advance exactly how many pegs will be needed for each contest and exactly who we can expect to turn up.

 

Only fully paid-up members who have purchased an annual tab are permitted to enter contests. Match rules, club rules and the match calendar are included in the club tab.

 

June 21st (2026) – Bristol Avon, Crane, Keynsham – F.Isaacs Cup – Draw 8.30am – Club Match (Pools & peg fee – £15 all in)

 

July 12th – Bristol Avon, Staverton- Draw. 8.30 am – Pairs Club Match & Agg. Rnd #1 (Pools & peg fee – £15 all in)

 

August 2nd – Whitehouse Farm Lakes – Draw. 8.00 am – Interclub Match with Alcove AC (Pools £10 all in)

 

August 16th – Away Day Club Match – River Kenn, Clevedon – Draw. 8.30 am –  (Pools £10 all in. Peg fees paid by club)

 

September 13th – Bristol Avon, Barton Farm – F.Bryant Cup – Club Match – Draw. 8.30 am – (Pools & peg fee – £15 all in)

 

September 27th – Gloucester Canal, Purton – Draw. 8.30 am – Invitation Match (Pools & peg fee – £15 all in)

 

October 11th – Bristol Avon, Crane, Keynsham – Draw. 8.30 am – W. Milton Cup – I/club Alcove AC (Pools & peg fee – £15 all in)

 

October 25th – Club Match – Staverton – Draw. 8.30 am – Invitation – (Pools & peg fee – £15 all in)

 

November 1st – Whitehouse Farm Lakes – Poppy Appeal Match – Draw 9.00 am – (Pools £10 all in. Donations optional)

 

November 8th – Bristol Avon, All Waters – Poppy Appeal Match – Draw 8.00-9.00 am –  (Pools £25 all in)

 

November 22nd – Bristol Avon, Monkton Park – Draw 8.30 am – Invitation Match (Pools & peg fee – £15 all in)

 

December 13th – Bitterwell Lake – Christmas Match (Invitation) – Draw 8.30 am –  (Pools, peg fee and pub meal, £25 all in)
